In my morning Manifesting Money Study we are reading Secrets of a Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker. The book is amazing, deep and eye opening. Maybe because it’s the best book so far in the group, or maybe after two years of spiritual money studies the pieces are beginning to make sense. Either way, shifts are happening, awareness is breaking through, and the pieces are starting to fit together.
The biggest reason, I believe, that this learning is a success is the people that make up this community. I could read a book all on my own, self study money, personal development, self image, etc, but the conversations that arise from the group - now that's the gold!
We were discussing the subconscious mind, and the book references ‘files’ in the brain where we store information - such as beliefs about money, wealth, lack, and abundance. And then it occurred to us, the mind - the subconscious specifically - is more than a storage compartment, it is a problem solving tool.
We have the ability to access deeper states of mind to process information, solve problems, re-write stories even! The subconscious is not just a storage unit of past conditioning and beliefs, but a problem solving tool. We can gather information, observe, and have insight into new ways of thinking.
When I studied with Bob Proctor, we discussed the higher faculties of the mind, which are intuition, imagination, memory, perception, reason, will: innate, inherent powers of the mind. These mental abilities are distinct from the five physical senses and are considered uniquely human, allowing for higher-level thought, creativity, and self-awareness.
Higher level thought. Creativity. Self-awareness. These are the key elements of the higher faculties.
I am here to tell you, it is a fact, that we have the ability to solve problems. There is no excuse to stay stuck, we have the power to create possibilities in our lives!
