✨Changing a Habit is Your Choice✨

✨Changing a Habit is Your Choice✨
I drag myself out of bed in the morning, dreading the energy it takes to get myself to the bathroom - stumbling in the dark. Thinking “who on earth gets up before the sun!” And this inner chatter goes on, something like this ~ “this is insane. I am so tired. I can’t even open my eyes. As soon as I have a minute, I’m taking a nap. I can’t wait til this day is over and I can crawl back into my warm bed.”

Does this sound familiar?

I know there’s a few morning people out there ~ alarm sounds, you fly out of bed, feet barely touching the floor, cannot wait until your first conversation with another human. Wait a minute - what alarm? Who needs an alarm to help you start an amazing day!

You’re like a kid in a candy shop waiting for the sun to peak its bright shiny smile over the horizon.

I know, some of you are thinking “yep, I’m a night owl. I was just born this way, it’s just the way I am”. And some of you are thinking “I love bursting out of bed in the morning, ready for the day. It’s peaceful, quiet and it's the best way to start my day”.

Which one are you?
Do you like it?
How does it feel?

Do you know that you have a choice?

I used to be a night owl. I loved it. After my husband and kids were in bed for the night, the house was quiet, I was all alone ~ it was my time. My time to clean, organize, journal, whatever I wanted! I loved it. And then I was introduced to the 5AM club and what it looked like to have a morning practice. What? Who gets up before the sun? You would have to peel my eyes open! When would I clean the house? When would I find my peace?

And then I thought “what would it be like if I was up before the kids. Ready to start my day with both eyes open, is that possible?” And then I remember what I tell all my kids ~ “anything’s possible”. If I were really curious about another way of starting my day, why not explore it. Somehow that little seed was planted, and my mind went to ‘what if…’ Because truly, it’s really up to me. No one can force me to change a habit, create a new one, get rid of a bad one. It comes down to what I want.

We all have ways of being that seem like ‘we were born this way’. We all have habits we want to change. If we were really honest with ourselves, when we say “this is just the way I am”, is that just your excuse to stay the same, accept that there’s nothing you can do to change? Or, do you really embrace who you are and celebrate “This is who I am!!!”?

It’s your choice. This is your opportunity to take a look at the habits that are creating your life, like I did when I discovered the 5am club and morning practice. This is the time to own and celebrate who you are and what you do, or change it.

Sounds simple I know. For me, this is what I do. This is what I teach. If this is new for you, I get it. Just take the next few days after reading this and see what sticks. What seeds got planted? What ideas and thoughts keep floating around in your awareness? What might be different? Better. More fulfilling. Easy. Fun. Flavorful.

You choose.

And if you decide that maybe a morning practice could be fun. Maybe a morning money study, a Manifesting Money Study with a group of amazing manifesting friends. 5 days a week 7:00am EST. Have more questions? Look here.
Still questions ask me, I have some answers! dawn@createconsciousliving.com
